The Rifleman will be a member of the Royal Australian Infantry Corps and will be trained to fight the enemy at close quarters in all types of warfare - using a variety of weapons. You may also be employed as a scout or machine-gunner in a rifle company. Depending on the role of your unit, you may also be trained as a Parachutist, Armoured Fighting Vehicle Crewman or one of a variety of other vital positions Job Functions: * Maintaining personal arms and ammunition. * Conducting aggressive patrolling. * Conducting assaults against enemy positions. * Repelling enemy assaults. * Preparing defensive positions and constructing field defences and minefields.
