The Gift

Created by Larry David, George Costanza was introduced to the audience on 5th of July 1989. This turned out to be very productive year for Hollywood, featuring many memorable releases such as Back to the future II, Batman, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters and many more. It was the year of Kylie Minogue, Phill Collins, Poison and The Beach Boys (Kokomo).

Michael J Fox left our hearts empty when the last episode of the Family Ties aired on 14th of May that year.

Fortunately for us, Wednesday nights on the cozy couches, carpets and in the armchairs in front of the TV screens were saved as soon as next month with the airing of Seinfeld pilot episode ‘Good News, Bad News‘. In the very first episode we were witnesses to the weird neurotic and analytical mind of George Costanza. It was the love at first ‘watch’. George filled our lives with laughter and new found optimism, reminding us that things could be worse.

So thank you George,

we will never forget your plots to weasel out of responsibilities, your penny pinching and of course your private little runway on your head where thick hair used to grow.
